Circuit of The Americas covers about 1,500 acres. That's nearly twice the size of Central Park in New York City. On race weekend it's home to more than 400,000 fans, dozens of grandstands and hillsides, team and sponsor experiences, and three nights of headline concerts.

This year, every bit of it fits on a phone.

COTA and smart navigation company PAM today launched an interactive SmartMap for the 2026 Formula 1 MSC Cruises United States Grand Prix, taking place this weekend, October 22 to 25. It works in any browser, with nothing to download and no login.

Built for the new F1 fan

Formula 1’s audience in the United States has never been bigger, and a growing share of fans are coming to a race for the first time. Many of them have watched every lap on a screen and have never set foot on a circuit.

The SmartMap is built for them. And for the regulars who still can’t find their favourite food vendor.

From the moment they arrive, fans can:

  • Find their way. Directions to gates, grandstands, rideshare, parking and shuttles.
  • Discover what’s on. Fan zones, team experiences, sponsor activations, merchandise and concert stages, all in one place.
  • Get what they need, fast. The nearest food, bars, restrooms, first aid and accessible facilities, wherever they are on the circuit.

When the racing stops, the show keeps going. Maroon 5 plays Friday, Post Malone plays Saturday, and Alesso is also on the bill. The SmartMap takes fans from the grandstand to the stage without the guesswork.

“Race weekend at COTA is one of the greatest experiences in sport, and we want every fan to make the most of it,” said Allie Stone, Vice President of Marketing at Circuit of The Americas. “This is a massive venue with a lot happening. Whether it’s your first Grand Prix or your tenth, the SmartMap means less time wondering where to go and more time enjoying the racing, the music and everything in between.”

Places that work

PAM’s technology is used at some of the biggest events in the world, including the PGA TOUR, NFL stadiums and the Australian Open. COTA is its latest landmark venue.

“We make great places feel effortless,” said Stephen Minning, Founder and CEO of PAM. “An event the size of the Formula 1 MSC Cruises United States Grand Prix takes serious work behind the scenes. Hundreds of thousands of fans. Three days. One of the most iconic circuits in the world. Our job is to take all that complexity and put it in the palm of a fan’s hand. Where’s my seat. Where’s the best food. What’s on next. Answered in seconds. Circuit of The Americas is now the fifth Formula 1 circuit to run on PAM, and that tells us something. The best venues in motorsport want their fans moving with confidence, not guesswork. That’s what we mean by putting people and places in sync.”

The SmartMap also gives COTA’s partners a new way to reach fans. Sponsor activations are easy to find, so they get more foot traffic, more engagement and more value from being on site.
